How the instruction develops

Define the objective. Plan the observation. Record what was seen.

The exact method can change as the evidence develops, but the objective, authority and professional phase remain clear. Further work is only added where it would materially advance the instruction.

Define the question

Agree what the surveillance needs to establish, the relevant subjects or assets, locations and time window, and confirm a lawful and proportionate basis for the deployment.

Plan and conduct the observation

Use an appropriate static, mobile or foot approach while adapting to what happens on the ground.

Record what happened

Provide a clear chronological record with supporting imagery or video where available and appropriate.

What you receive

A usable outcome — not just activity.

The output is an accountable observation record tied to the authorised objective and the limits of what could actually be seen.

Observation log

A contemporaneous record of relevant movements, activity and timings observed during the authorised deployment.

Supporting imagery where appropriate

Photographic or video material captured where lawful, proportionate and operationally practicable.

Surveillance report

A clear factual account of the deployment, observations, evidence, limitations and any material gaps.

Ghosthawk agrees what the instruction or authorised phase is intended to establish and the professional effort included before work begins.

Deployment levels

Alternative deployment levels selected according to the objective, staffing, geography and likely duration. They are not sequential charges.

01 / Focused

Focused Surveillance Deployment

A defined surveillance deployment for a focused objective, including planning, logs, evidence handling and concise reporting.

02 / Mobile

Mobile / two-person Surveillance

from £800

For mobile or more operationally demanding work where two personnel or a broader deployment is appropriate.

03 / Full-day

Full-day Mobile Operation

from £1,600

An extended multi-investigator operation with preparation, operational activity, evidence management and reporting.

Where the same authorised surveillance deployment needs to continue beyond the planned scope or duration, additional professional work can be authorised in fixed 3-person-hour blocks at £250. A new deployment date or materially changed objective is separately scoped and priced. Surveillance is observational; where an instruction requires active engagement, a covert role or a controlled purchase, that work is separately scoped under the appropriate Ghosthawk service. Mileage is 60p per authorised vehicle mile where applicable.
